Problem with cleanup v4.0 used with Windows XP Home Edition

Postby okskalbin » Mon Jan 21, 2008 6:23 pm

Help! While using cleanup, which I have used for several years, a problem with windows installer showed up. I receive the following promps: (1) "The feature you are trying to use is on a CD-ROM or other removable disk that is not available. Insert the 'Scan' disk and click "OK". (2) "Error 1706. No valid source could be found for product Scan. The Windows Installer cannot continue." (3) "The file '1' is not a valid installation package for the product Scan. Try to find the installation package, 'Scan.msi' in a folder from which you can install Scan." This is a permanent message window on my screen which will not cancel nor will it allow me to turn the computer off except by unplugging electrical power. Also, it will not allow me to install other programs as long as this problem is not resolved. If anyone could help, I certainly would appreciate it. Thanks.

UPDATE: 28Jan08-Problem resolved. The problem was associated with a recent HP printer/scanner installation. Thanks.
