In Vista no helpfile

Postby robmeyer » Sat Jun 23, 2007 12:59 am

Certainly you know the problem: Vista did not take over most of the helpfiles from XP and likewise it is for CleanUp.
Will there be a helpfile available in the near future, please?
And are we fingertipped for that?

Thanks

Rob,

I don't yet have a machine with Vista running on it, so am not aware of what issues users may face.

As far as the help file is concerned, I've been considering discontinuing it and using the web site even more. This is partly due to the fact that once I've bundled a Help file with the CleanUp! executable, there's basically no way for me to update it, or add to it. Additionally I often wonder just how many people look at the Help file when they have a question. I receive way too many e-mails and postings on this forum where the answer is either in the Help file or in the FAQs (on this web site).

I've been busy migrating the web site to a much more dynamic content management system, allowing me to make changes and additions to it much more quickly and frequently. So, look out for more in this area.

very good idea: everybody can find his way on that website.
Do not underestimate the search for help. Many times it is for minot things.
Indeed for cleanup everything is cristalclear.
