Cleanup! and Microsoft SBS 2000 with Exchange 2000

Postby marmstro » Mon Sep 12, 2005 7:50 am

Hello to all,

As I've said, I'm new to Cleanup! and I'm wondered if there are any known issues running it on SBS 2000 with Exchange i.e. should I exclude certain file types?

Thanks,

Mike

I'm not aware of any issues with the configuration you mentioned, but two things to consider doing with any new installation:

1. Make sure you have a good backup. (This advice applies when using any utility that makes changes to your files, not just CleanUp!.)

2. Do not enable the "Scan local drives for temporary files" option initially. This way CleanUp! should only remove files that are "known" to be safe to delete. Once you're comfortable with CleanUp! and how it works, then you could - but don't have to - consider enabling this option if you really want to.

I hope this helps. If anyone else has anything to add re. Microsoft SBS 2000 or Exchange 2000, then please feel free to add comments here.
